Thanksgiving Holiday's

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Holiday and didn't eat to much. This year I have been thankful for so many things. As we all know, we had a devastating tornado to hit our community on April 24. As, I have posted in a previous blog, my grandmother's house was taken in this awful tornado. So this Thanksgiving, we are spending our first holiday in my grandmother's new house. I wish I had a picture to post of her new house. I am thankful that God took the house and not my grandmother and uncle. The old house holds so many memories and thankful that we still have those memories.

Our Thanksgiving was nice this year. We missed my step-dad so much during the holiday's. This was the first holiday he has missed but he is in North Carolina working, but we added another great grand this year and had 2 guest for dinner. All the kids enjoy playing together after dinner while we all sit around and talk about Christmas and past holidays.

I made the Black Friday sales again this year but I was not a early bird. I didn't need any electronics and my 3 year old didn't either. I did hit Wal-Mart up about 8:30 Friday morning and then ventured on to Flowood. Thank God I got all my shopping done in that one day. I can now sit back and enjoy the holiday's and start catching up in my work at the office. This semester has kinda got my desk covered because I have focused on school so much.

Well I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Holiday. I will finish up finals Thursday in this class. I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Good Luck on all your finals you have left.

Veteran's Day

The American flag does not fly because the wind moves past it -The American flag flies from the last breath of each military member who has died protecting it. THANK YOU to all of the women and men who have served, are currently serving or will serve in the future in any of our military/armedforces branches.

I am a Veteran's sister. A Veteran's sister is someone who stands beside
someone who wrote a blank check payable to the United States of America
for an amount up to, and including, their own life. Regardless of
personal political views, that is an honor, and there are way too many
...people in this country who no longer remember that fact.......I am proud
to be a Veteran's sister. ♥ I love you Max Forrest

Today makes me so proud! I am very thankful to be not only a sister to a veteran, but a niece, a cousin, and a friend to people who has served our country and also took the time out of their life to enlist and show interest for our freedom. I am also Thankful for the awesome God that we serve. Without our God we would not have the veteran's to be thankful for.

I am proud to live in a free country. No our country is not in the best standing, but no one is perfect. We can't only rely on our government to get us through, we have to hand our government over to our Father and let him take control and lead them in the right direction. Please continue to pray for our veteran's, their families, and our government.

Also, my court has been changed due to someone getting the flu. I have rescheduled it for December 10th, and ask for everyone to pray that everything goes as planned. I hope everyone has a great week and is getting prepared for finals. God Bless!!

November: A Thankful Month

November is a great month to let everyone know just how thankful you are. Many people started naming something they are thankful for on www.facebook.com. I have had many friends post some of the most sencere things but I have seen the worst I could ever imagine. This month I am Thankful for so many things.

This week I an thankful for my family. I have been blessed with the most loving and caring family. Most of the year the family is split with work, because most of the men work on the pipeline. This year we have been lucky to have the men close by in Alabama and Florida. My step dad was in Florida for a couple weeks and is now in South Carolina. My step dad is now the furthest away.

I am also thankful that my family has supported me with every decision I have made the past 2 years for Olivia. When all the decisions are left for one person to make it gets very over whelming. This leads to my picture heading this paragraph. I am thankful that my court date to finish all legal documents concerning Olivia is Tuesday, November 9. I am asking everyone to please say a quick prayer for me.

I am also for the family that I belong to at church. As my preacher stated today, "I could not ask for a better family." Although most of the congregation at church is 20+ years older than me, I really enjoy learning from them and hearing about their experiences with life. They are such Godly people and great role models.

Today at church marked our 2nd Annual Homecoming Service. We celebrated the church's 102 Birthday! We had visitors to come in and share stories with us about the church, and had people share the word through song. We also had a big dinner on the grounds which was a little bit chilly. We had a great day, and this new time has got me all messed up..

I am very thankful. Good night!
