November: A Thankful Month

November is a great month to let everyone know just how thankful you are. Many people started naming something they are thankful for on www.facebook.com. I have had many friends post some of the most sencere things but I have seen the worst I could ever imagine. This month I am Thankful for so many things.

This week I an thankful for my family. I have been blessed with the most loving and caring family. Most of the year the family is split with work, because most of the men work on the pipeline. This year we have been lucky to have the men close by in Alabama and Florida. My step dad was in Florida for a couple weeks and is now in South Carolina. My step dad is now the furthest away.

I am also thankful that my family has supported me with every decision I have made the past 2 years for Olivia. When all the decisions are left for one person to make it gets very over whelming. This leads to my picture heading this paragraph. I am thankful that my court date to finish all legal documents concerning Olivia is Tuesday, November 9. I am asking everyone to please say a quick prayer for me.

I am also for the family that I belong to at church. As my preacher stated today, "I could not ask for a better family." Although most of the congregation at church is 20+ years older than me, I really enjoy learning from them and hearing about their experiences with life. They are such Godly people and great role models.

Today at church marked our 2nd Annual Homecoming Service. We celebrated the church's 102 Birthday! We had visitors to come in and share stories with us about the church, and had people share the word through song. We also had a big dinner on the grounds which was a little bit chilly. We had a great day, and this new time has got me all messed up..

I am very thankful. Good night!

  1. Yes, I agree, it is so important to keep our focus on the wonderful blessing we have. I pray everything turns out the way you hope with the court. I like this time change, it is when it changes back that I get messed-up!

  2. Yes, the new time has me messed up too! I haven't even changed my watch yet, and I thought I forgot to pick my son up at school today. Great idea to blog about what you are thankful for. And I agree with you about a church family. I don't know where I would be without them.

  3. We all need to remember to be thankful every day and not just one month out of the year. I think Thanksgiving should be every day. I will be praying for you. I hope everything goes well for you.

  4. Sometimes its hard to remember to count blessings. I have found that even those things I wouldnt normally think of as a blessing, really are. They are just disguised.
